TAWANG, Aug 28: Tawang DC Sang Phuntsok exhorted farmers to adopt modern scientific technology to boost production to become self sufficient in food production.
He was addressing farmers after handing over power tillers to 13 of them at a function near recently opened APMC sale counter here on Friday and congratulated the beneficiaries.
The power tillers under CM’s Sashakt Kisan Yojana (CMSKY) 2019-20 were given toeing CM’s Agriculture Mechanization. The farmers had deposited Rs.91,500 as beneficiary share which varied as per accessories availed while the state Govt offered assistance of Rs one lakh each.
Earlier 13 atta chakki, 10 paddy de-husking machines and eight grass weed slasher were provided to farmers by agriculture department under the CMSKY scheme.
The HoDs, including DRDA PD Lobsang Tsetan DAO Lobsang Zimba, DUDA EE VP Singh, DFDO M. Adhak were present. (DIPRO)
